Engagement Methodology

Every engagement, regardless of discipline, proceeds through a consistent methodology designed to retain accountability, surface risk early, and produce auditable artefacts alongside the working software.

Scoping

A dedicated engineer reviews the requirements, constraints, integrations, and regulatory environment. Output is a written scope, an engagement plan, and a fixed-price or time-and-materials proposal.

Architecture

Architecture decision records, data flow diagrams, threat modelling, and operational runbooks are drafted before implementation begins. Decisions are recorded with their rationale and tradeoffs.

Implementation

Senior engineers retain ownership through delivery. Peer review, dependency scanning, automated testing, and continuous deployment are integrated into the standard workflow.

Operation

Post-launch support, monitoring, incident response, and feature evolution are scoped per engagement. Software is designed to age well under maintenance, not merely to ship.

Deliverables Per Engagement

The firm produces engineering artefacts alongside the code. The exact set is tailored to the engagement, but the following are typical of any non-trivial scope.

Technology Approach

Technology selection is driven by engagement requirements, not house preference. The firm has shipped production systems on the major cloud providers, mobile platforms, and language ecosystems. Engagements requiring specific frameworks, runtimes, or vendor stacks are scoped accordingly. Where reasonable, the firm prefers durable technologies with long support horizons over novel options that may not survive five years of maintenance.
